Catalog Description
ENGR 1000 provides an Introduction to engineering disciplines. This
class consists of a series of orientation lectures on the many fields
of engineering, followed by a series of seminars and discussions in
engineering discipline-specific sections on engineering topics.
Students taking this course will be graded per university standards.
Objectives
At the end of the course, the students should have been introduced to
different areas of engineering. The students should have an
understanding of what it is like to work in a number of engineering
disciplines.
General Requirements & Expectations
1. Attendance: Students are expected to attend all lectures.
Attendance will be taken.
Reading: Students are expected to read and do the assignments.
2. Make sure you check your UCONN.EDU e-mail account regularly, or
have it forwarded to
an account that you use regularly. Otherwise you may miss important
announcements.
